settingsI was a rookie salesman that managed to get hired at a big company. After 3 weeks of working in a big store that had no processes or training and mediocre management, I witnessed Rick come in and clean house. From top to bottom I found myself surrounded and supported by ambitious professionals; when managers demanded I do my job, they met my efforts, speed, and dedication. We became a very well regimented sales force firing on all cylinders. There were processes and procedures that really worked and our big consistent paychecks were coupled with various incentive programs that created full press competitiveness on the floor. Rick's systems and training had all of us earning 6 figures and winning prizes, including a cash incentive bonus program that had the whole store running tirelessly full steam. Every Saturday morning Rick would coordinate and close a sales meeting that would have me ready to sell anyone; I was just pumped up and highly trained, with good managers and vigilant follow through with purpose. Rick Dumas, along with running the whole store, invested in me as a salesman and trained me to sell on my feet. He taught me to turn a call into a customer on the floor and to overcome any objection possible, and most importantly not create my own. He knows people psychologically and creates effective success in anyone or any thing he gets involved with. I would follow Rick to Alaska to sell ice if he asked me, that's how confident I am in Mr. Dumas.
